INFORMATION: 

The primary purpose of the camp is to allow time to focus on script rehearsal, singing and basic blocking of scenes for principal characters, as well as intensive work on the musical’s instrumental score.  This valuable opportunity allows staff and students to achieve some of the preliminary work that would take many weeks in a normal school rehearsal environment, thus significantly reducing the pressure on students and staff later in the semester.

Student accommodation will be much the same as previous Musical Production camps.  Students will have a dormitory to share with other students.  The girls and boys will be accommodated in separate quarters, each supervised by at least one teacher. The camp will be catered for and breakfast, lunch and dinner will be provided. Snacks will be provided on camp but students can bring their own.

Students on the Duncan Campus are to store their clearly labelled luggage (and music equipment, if required) in the Chair Storeroom behind the Sport’s office on Thursday morning before Form class. Students can wear their sports uniform to school that day (no casual clothes). They will be attending Period 1 – 6 classes as usual.

It is recommended that students take homework with them as they will have the opportunity to complete this while on camp. Students with no homework will need to present their College diary as evidence and will be expected to do private study on work covered in classes from Weeks 1 – 6.

Any student found to possess any illegal material; drinks or substances of any kind will be sent home immediately and will be subject to the College’s discipline policies and procedures. Students should also keep in mind that their behaviour and level of responsibility directly affects the continuance of future music, musicals and Arts camps/functions.

Students are to be collected promptly from Teague St on the Saturday morning.
